If you are interested in getting started in large format black & white photography, I am offering weekend workshops in my Burlington, Vermont studio. These workshops will offer the large format novice an opportunity to get “hands on” experience with a view camera and instant print materials to learn the essentials of view camera operation. Working with large format cameras offers creative options and challenges not afforded by other formats. Whether you wish to make use of its precise focus control or need to create large negatives for use with alternative processes such as Cyanotype or Kallitype, the large format camera is the correct choice.
Workshop topics will include: Camera Types, Lenses and Shutters, Camera Movements, Bellows Compensation, Holder Management, and Sheet Film processing.
